Feminismo comunitario is a feminist praxis that confronts longstanding oppresive systems and works towards a shared future that embraces people in all their expressions, placing emphasis on the fact that we must combat social problems together. Ashanti Torres is the founder of Colectiva Contingencia Feminista, a grassroots organization based in Buenaventura, Colombia. Ashanti will speak to their current efforts attending to the social needs of women and girls and how they connect to feminismo comunitario.
